Cake containers are clear PET sets of a bottom bowl and a top lid that carry cake slices and whole cakes without crushing them. Dipack makes cake containers as a 120 mm square slice set, a 185 mm square set and a Ø220 mm oval set, and sells them wholesale, direct from the manufacturer, to patisseries, cafes and cake producers.
On this page you will also find the size chart, how to choose the lid height and the wholesale ordering process, so you can pick the right set for display and delivery in one step.
Cake container models and size chart

How to choose the right lid height for your cake
The total height of the cake, including decoration, sets the lid height. A 60 mm lid is enough for low tarts and cheesecakes, while cream and fruit cakes need a 75-80 mm lid.
- H60: tarts, cheesecake, brownies and low sponge cakes.
- H75 fluted: medium-height cream cakes and mousse.
- H80: tall cream cakes and cakes with fruit decoration.
Why choose a PET cake container?
PET gives glass-like clarity, so the cake and its decoration are visible in the display case and on the shelf. The rigid body prevents crushing in transport and keeps its shape in the refrigerator. The patterned lid option strengthens presentation without an extra label.
| Feature | Dipack PET cake container | Cardboard cake box |
|---|---|---|
| Visibility | Fully transparent | Depends on the lid window |
| Crush protection | Rigid body | Risk of folding |
| Refrigerator | Keeps its shape | Softens in humidity |
| Lid options | 4 heights, patterned lid | Single size |
How to choose a cake container: 4 checkpoints
The wrong lid height either crushes the decoration or will not close. Check these four points before you order.
- Cake height: measure it including decoration, and leave 5 mm of clearance.
- Base size: the Ø220 oval bowl suits 20-22 cm cakes, and the square set is for 18 cm square cakes.
- Selling by the slice: choose the 120 mm square set for a slice display, so you need no separate box for portion sales.
- Carton quantity: cartons hold 300-500 pieces; plan stock for weekend peaks.
Who uses cake containers?
Patisseries and cafes use cake containers most, because a clear container boosts display case sales and the rigid body protects the decoration in transport. Cake producers also use them on supermarket shelves, and catering companies use them for event service.
- Patisserie and cafe: display case presentation and packaged sales.
- Cake producer: supermarket shelves and e-commerce shipments.
- Catering: events and corporate hospitality.

What material are cake containers made of?
Dipack makes cake containers from food-contact safe clear PET. As a result, the cake is visible in the display case and the container keeps its shape in the refrigerator.
Do cake containers come with a lid?
Yes, every model is supplied as a container and lid set. The 120 mm slice sets ship in a single carton; for the 185 mm square and Ø220 oval sets, the bottom bowl and the lid ship in separate cartons.
What is the patterned lid for?
The pattern on the surface of the H60 patterned lid strengthens presentation, so it draws attention in the display case even without an extra label.
Which lid height should I choose?
Measure the cake height including decoration and leave 5 mm of clearance. For example, an H60 lid suits a 5 cm cake, and an H75 or H80 lid suits a 7 cm cake.
What is the minimum order quantity?
We take orders by the carton; pieces per carton range from 300 to 500 depending on the model. For regular purchases we plan by the pallet.
Do you send samples?
Yes, we send samples of the bowl and lid you choose, so you can test them with your own cake before placing a wholesale order.
