Leak-proof containers are single-use food containers with a locking lid that carry liquid and semi-liquid food without spilling. Dipack manufactures these containers at its factory in Dursunbey, Balıkesir, and sells them wholesale direct from the manufacturer to restaurants, patisseries, delis and food producers.
This page covers the differences between the series, the size table and the wholesale ordering process, so you can settle on the right container for your business before you order.
Dipack leak-proof container series: Eco, Lux and PP
Dipack produces three separate leak-proof container series, because every business has a different budget and presentation requirement. The Eco series is the economical option for everyday takeaway, while the Lux series is the upper-segment option for display case and shelf presentation.
The PP series, with its polypropylene body, suits hot service and the microwave. When choosing a series, look first at the serving temperature, then at your presentation requirements.
| Series | Material | Volume range | Lid options | Main use |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Eco Leak-Proof | Clear PET | 150-2000 cc | Flat, high, square | Takeaway, desserts and mezes |
| Lux Leak-Proof | Clear PET | 150-2000 cc | Flat, high, square | Display case and shelf presentation |
| PP Leak-Proof | Polypropylene (PP) | 250-1000 cc | Flat, dome, square, rectangular | Hot food, microwave |
| Special Leak-Proof (Dutch-style) | Clear PET | 250-500 cc | Locking flat lid | Mezes, salads, export |

Flat lid or high lid?
A flat lid leaves no gap between the top of the product and the lid, so it saves shelf space for salads, mezes and sliced products.
A high lid (dome lid) leaves 15-30 mm of extra space above the product, so heaped rice pudding and decorated portions travel without sticking to the lid.
- Flat lid: for example, mezes, olives, salads, sliced cheese and ready-meal portions.
- High lid: on the other hand, rice pudding, profiteroles, fruit salad and dishes with sauce.
- Square and rectangular lids: businesses that want to fit more containers on narrow shelves and in refrigerators.
PET or PP leak-proof containers: which material for which food?
PET leak-proof containers offer glass-like clarity, so they are the first choice for display cases, refrigerator shelves and cold service.
PP containers withstand heat up to 120 °C and can be heated in the microwave. As a result, restaurants with hot service choose the PP series, and patisseries with cold presentation choose the PET series. A detailed guide to the material decision: PP or PET?
| Feature | PET leak-proof container | PP leak-proof container |
|---|---|---|
| Clarity | Glass-like | Semi-transparent |
| Hot service | Not suitable | Suitable up to 120 °C |
| Microwave | No | Yes |
| Freezer | Yes | Yes |
| Typical use | Desserts, mezes, salads, display | Wet dishes, soups, takeaway |
How to choose a leak-proof container: 5 checkpoints
Choosing the wrong container means returns, leaks and lost shelf space. Check the five points below before you order, because each one prevents a separate cost item.
- Serving temperature: choose PP for hot food and PET for cold presentation.
- Portion volume: plan for an 80 percent fill rather than a heaped one; for products with sauce, choose a high lid.
- Shelf and refrigerator layout: square shapes fit more containers, while oval shapes look better in a display case, so measure your shelf first.
- Label area: a flat lid suits lid-top labels, and a model with taller sides suits body labels.
- Carton and storage: also check pieces per carton and carton dimensions against your warehouse shelving.
Where are leak-proof containers used?
Businesses use leak-proof containers most for takeaway and ready-to-eat food packaging, because the locking lid prevents spills in transit. Food producers also use the same containers on filling lines, and supermarkets at their deli counters.
- Restaurants and catering: for example, takeaway portions, wet dishes, soups and sauces.
- Patisseries and dessert shops: rice pudding, baklava slices, profiteroles and clotted cream.
- Delis and supermarkets: olives, cheese, pickles, mezes and salads.
- Food producers: also hummus, dips, ready-made mezes and yogurt filling.
For containers designed for specific product groups, see the salad containers, deli containers, baklava containers and PP hot food containers pages.
How does wholesale ordering of leak-proof containers work?
Dipack, a brand of Onursan Ambalaj, manufactures its containers on its own thermoforming lines. That means you get a factory-direct quote with no middleman margin. The process has three steps: you share your requirements list, you receive samples and a quote, and then our team plans shipment by the carton.
- Requirements list: first, send the volume, lid type and monthly quantity.
- Samples and quote: our team then sends samples and a per-carton quote for the models you choose.
- Shipping: finally, we agree on the carton and pallet layout together, so delivery within Istanbul and to other cities is clearly planned.
If you need a size outside the standard molds, review the reference projects on the custom packaging page. Dipack runs the whole process, from mold design to series production, under one roof.

Are leak-proof containers really liquid-tight?
Yes. The locking channel of the lid seats on the container rim and keeps liquid inside during transport. The lid must still be fully locked, because a partly closed lid is not leak-proof.
Which volume suits which portion?
250 cc suits single-serve mezes and sauces, 500 cc a standard portion, and 750-1000 cc a portion for two. For bulk service and large supermarket packs, choose 1250 cc and above.
Can the containers be used in the microwave?
The PP series is microwave-safe for reheating. The PET series is designed for cold food, so choose PP leak-proof containers for hot food and microwave use.
What is the minimum order quantity?
We take orders by the carton; pieces per carton range from 200 to 1000 depending on the volume. For regular monthly orders, we offer pallet-based planning and better pricing.
Can you add a logo or print to the containers?
Labels can be applied to standard containers. For businesses that want a custom branded shape built into the mold, we plan a separate custom manufacturing process.
Can I get samples?
Yes, we send samples of the volume and lid type you choose, so you can test them on your filling line and on the shelf before placing a wholesale order.
What is the delivery time?
We ship standard sizes that are in stock at short notice. For jobs that need a custom mold, we confirm the lead time at the quote stage, based on mold design and trial production.
